TOUCH OF GRAY

Spraying a Colored LINE-X Bedliner

By Jeremy Cook

Whether we are using our trucks for work or pleasure, one area of the truck that we are always looking to protect, and hopefully retain or improve the aesthetic value of, is the inside of the bed. We're all huge fans of the spray-in bedliner around here; it's revolutionized the way we look at a truck's bed these days, mainly because of the many advantages they provide over a "bare" bed or even one equipped with a plastic "drop-in" liner, all while looking great.

Recently, we got a call from Marcel Venable, Director of Marketing at Line-X headquarters. He wanted us to check out a truck they were about to spray in a medium gray as opposed to the standard black. Marcel said that the owner wanted gray because it would match the interior of his '00 Chevy dually. It would also match the standard headliners that come in many high-end camper shells.

Soon we were on our way with our camera in hand. We mostly wanted to see just how easy it was for Line-X to mix up a custom color for those of you who have dreamed of having a spray-in bedliner that matched your truck's paint. Follow along as the Line-X crew performs its magic and check out the information box we included in this story for some facts you may or may not know about Line-X, and as always, check that source box and log on to www.linexcorp.com.
